The basis for the movie Children of Men was the sterialization of entire planet. One would have to sit back and wonder if it is at all possible. 'No way!' the reply would echo.
YET....the lead sentence of this current article begins:
"Baby shampoos, lotions and powders may expose infants to chemicals that have been linked with possible reproductive problems, a small study suggests."

While I'm no fan of forced sterilization, I do think the government ought to be giving away or, at least subsidizing birth control. Sure, they subsidize it a bit, but I don't see any free condom vending machines in bars yet and I don't see the government offering scholarships to girls who stay baby-free until they're 25.
As for these chemicals, man, I think it's much worse than anyone realizes. I think my cold cream was affecting my eyesight! No joke, I stopped using it because my vision seemed to keep getting worse and worse.
I am not shocked about the cold cream bothering your eyes. We have more than enough of certain chemicals in us when we are born. Yet, for some reason the government seems to think it is wise to give us more.
Floride does not help teeth. Actually it is more of a mood control, similar to lithium. Some doctors believe it is the Florida that is causing bones to lose their calcium and become brittle.
Chlorine also, they give us more than we need.
Mercury, we get it in our fillings, immunizations and fish.
Just to name a few
I've always had very healthy teeth and dentists always comment that I must have grown up where they had flouride in the water but I never did. I abhorr the use of flouride in toothpaste. Do you know how hard it is to buy toothpaste with no flouride in it around here? I resign myself to using it because I have sensitive teeth (years of overzealous brushing) and they don't make a flouride free toothbrush. When you tell people what flouride is, they just shrug. They don't care. Ack!
I drink tap water but I let it sit out for several hours first to let the chloride dissipate. Makes me nervous to drink chlorinated water. I understand the health need for it, but I don't think we should be drinking it straight out of the tap if we can help it.
